How to Create & Print Birthday Cards From Scratch : Overview : Happy Birthday Card Cover
Birthdays are a special day to celebrate with someone. They are occasions for parties and presents. Birthday cards are a traditional part of the festivities. Creating your own card permits you to include personal pictures or graphics and to customize the wording to fit the recipient perfectly. All it takes to create your own birthday card from scratch is a word processing or graphics program and an idea. You can even print the birthday cards on your printer.

Step 1

Select an available template. Access the birthday card templates online at Microsoft Office Online. Search for one that is the same or similar to what you want to create.

Step 2

See a full view of the birthday cards through clicking on the card itself or the name. Use the "Download" button to download and open the birthday card in your Microsoft program.

Step 3

Alter the pictures or add your own graphics. Select any illustration on the birthday card. Utilize the "Delete" key to eliminate it, or you can modify its appearance or replace it with another one. Find the graphic on your system. Use the options found in the Insert Menu, under "Pictures."

Step 4

Change the wording. Highlight any of the text on the birthday card. Replace it with your own personal message. Take out any of the words you do not want.

Step 5

Check out the card you created. Look over the birthday card for any modifications needed. Print a copy of it on standard type paper. Go over it again.

Step 6

Print your birthday card. Load the printer with the paper for the card. Print the card. Fold the card and sign it.

TIPS AND WARNINGS

  • TIP : Employ WordArt to have creative options when working with the wording on the birthday card. Use vibrant colors and shadows too. Draw on the free graphics or photos from Microsoft Office Online, if you need some for your birthday card. Use photo, high-quality or colored paper to print your birthday cards.
  • WARNING : Check the birthday card you find online to make certain it is designed for the specific version of Microsoft application you have.
