Birthday PartyKids love to make things with their own hands and especially love doing crafts at other childens' birthday parties. It is fun for them to work together with other kids sharing creativity. Birthday crafts are great for adults, too. It gives the adults a chance to get the kids involved in a quieter activity where all the kids are in one spot and easily accounted for. As long as the craft activity is geared towards the appropriate age and not too difficult for little fingers, kids will enjoy making crafts at a birthday party. Since there so many craft ideas to do, the birthday craft table will keep boredom at bay as well.
Flip Flops Fun
Flip Flop CraftsHave the kids bring a pair of flip flop shoes to the birthday party. Have a selection of plastic flowers, miniature toys and puffy stickers on hand. The kids can decorate their flip flops to make themselves one of a kind shoes. Another flip flop craft is to make note holders at the party. Use a small toddler size and have some small whimsical notepads available and some thick yarn. Glue the notepad to the front of the flip flop shoe a little below the toe straps. Make a yarn loop and glue it to the back of the shoe for a hanger. Yarn can also be glued to the side hanging down with a pencil tied to it.

Egg Carton Crafts
Egg Carton CrocodileEgg cartons are a good choice for a kid's birthday party craft. They can be cut into animal shapes and decorated or used as mini planters to plant flower seeds that the kids can take home to care for. Older kids that like jewelry can use a single hole punch to punch small discs out of colored Styrofoam egg cartons. These can then be threaded together, along with plastic beads by using a needle and embroidery thread. Just adjust the length depending on if they are making bracelets or necklaces.
