Birthdays mean different things to different people. Some people love to celebrate them, going all-out with a huge bash with family and friends. Others prefer a smaller gathering, or maybe even none at all. When it comes to kids, though, who doesn't like to celebrate their special day? If planned right, it can be the most memorable day of the year for a child. Ft. Myers, Florida offers many places that you can book for the perfect party.
Ft. Myers Skatium
The Ft. Myers Skatium is an indoor skating rink that offers packages kids birthday parties. It is a great place to get kids together for a fun day that will have them running around and playing for hours. Ice skating, inline skating and laser tag are the activities available for a party. The Skatium has private party rooms and party packages that take the work out of planning a big party. These packages include a cake, hot dogs or pizza and drinks in addition to admission and skate rentals for all the kids.
Beach Bowl
If skating doesn't interest your child, check out Beach Bowl. Located on Ft. Myers Beach, this is a great little bowling alley that has a party room, called the Pelican Room, which can be rented out. The place features pool tables, video games and, of course, bowling. Party packages include food, shoe rentals and lane time. It is a great place for kids to hang out and parents will love to bowl a game or two as well.
Gator Lanes
This is another bowling alley in Ft. Myers that is a great place to have a birthday party. It offers a little more than Beach Bowl, especially for the birthday celebrant. They special person gets his very own bowling pin with his name on it, which is a very cool gift for any child. For only $10 per kid who shows up to the party, you get two hours of food and bowling all provided by gator lanes.
Imaginarium
If your child likes to stimulate her mind more than her muscles, check out the Ft. Myers Imaginarium. This is a special hands-on museum and learning center for children that also hosts parties for kids. Learn about science and the world around you for the few hours the party goes on. Cake and food is provided, and you can also schedule an animal encounter that will bring kids face-to-face with some very cool critters.
The Great Outdoors
If you don't want to leave the party planning up to a certain place to plan, but you still want to go somewhere for your child's party, then consider one of the many public parks in Ft. Myers. Lakes Regional Park and Manatee Park are two great examples of places with wide open spaces for kids to play and park benches to eat at. Some of these parks require you to book in advance, especially if you want to use a grill, for example. Still, this is one of the least expensive ways to throw a birthday party.
