Disney Decorations for a Party

Overview

Disney Decorations for a Party : Overview :
Every prince and princess deserves something magical for a party. Decorating with Disney decorations is the perfect way to transform an ordinary room into a magical place---where the imagination can soar. Disney has an extensive line of decorations suitable for children of all ages. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Tinkerbell and the Disney Princesses are just a few of the many Disney characters that can be used in decorating for a party.

Balloons

One way to create instant decor in a Disney-themed party room is by using balloons. There are several different types of balloons that can be used for party decorating. Plain rubber balloons that have printed Disney characters on them are popular for making arches and balloon bouquets on tables. Mylar balloons are also popular. They typically are foil colored with bright colored accents in the shape of the Disney character. Mickey and Minnie are popular choices in the Mylar styles. All balloons can be filled up with helium, tied with curling ribbon and weighed down with heavy plastic character weights.

Wall Murals

Wall murals are an interesting way to add drama to the party room. The wall murals are self stick and cover one whole side of the wall---providing a Disney castle and scenery background. This makes the perfect backdrop for pictures and role-playing. Another attractive feature is the life-size Disney characters that can be placed on the mural. The combination of the two offers a lifelike quality that children love. This is a great look for the Cinderella castle theme.

Table Decorations

Many times table decorations can add color and charm to a party table. Napkins, cups, plates, tablecloths and cardboard character stand-ups are accents that prove to be both functional and decorative. Centerpieces, whether plastic or cardboard, are a great look for any table. Disney characters including Goofy, Mickey and the rest of the gang gathered around the clubhouse makes a great centerpiece. Disney Princess centerpieces that feature Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White and Jasmine characters in a cardboard cutout are perfect accents for any princess party. Some other table accents include Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tinkerbell, Winnie the Pooh and Hannah Montana.

Piñatas

Piñatas are not only a fun activity at any party---they also serve as decorative pieces. Disney piñatas come in all shapes and sizes. A really charming piñata is the Cinderella piñata. This piñata comes in two different varieties---a papier maché and a plastic and cardboard variety. The classic papier maché variety offers guests a chance to whack the piñata to retrieve the goodies inside. The plastic and cardboard type offers a charming cut-out Cinderella with a fabric skirt. Under the skirt---a pull cord releases candy and treats---this is perfect for little guests.

Banner and Confetti

Add Disney party flair to a room by adding banners and confetti. Disney carries a large line of banners that can welcome guests as they arrive. Banners add a sense of decor to the area by letting guests know there is a party taking place. Banners can be themed from Beauty and the Beast to the Little Mermaid. Age-appropriate banners are designed to display the age of the recipient for a Birthday party decoration. Some can also be purchased with the guest of honor's name printed on the front. The Disney Fairy Tale Princesses door backdrop banner can cover an entire entry door so guests feel as though they are walking right in to a magical place. Confetti sprinkled on tables and floors adds color and contrast to the decor.
