Disney Princess Party Decorations & Centerpieces

Overview

Disney Princess Party Decorations & Centerpieces : Overview :
Every little girl dreams of being a princess. Well, for her birthday, her wish is granted--she is princess for a day. She gets to wear the beautiful party dress, drink sparkly punch and have presents just for her. With some extra planning, you can make those extra-special touches to make your little "princess" feel extra special.

The Centerpiece

To make the centerpiece fun and affordable, try finding a small, sturdy basket from a craft or party store and tying latex Disney Princess balloons in the middle. You can add some flowers of the birthday girl's favorite colors inside the basket to decorate it and make it more colorful.

Throne for the Princess

Decorate a chair with streamers, bows, ribbons and balloons so the birthday girl will have her own throne to be princess for a day. You may also build your princess a castle out an old appliance box or one roll of flagstone corrugated paper and a staple gun. If you build the castle on a wall and place the throne in front of it, guests can take turns getting their picture taken in front of it.

Tissue Flowers

Make tissue flowers by using six to eight pieces of pastel tissue paper. Layer the sheets on top of each other, and then fold accordion-style. After that, tie the sheets together by tying a pipe cleaner over the middle, and then fluff each sheet separately to finish your flower.

Disney Art

Collect any of your old Disney posters or try to purchase some from a video store or The Disney Store. Scan the pictures of the artwork of your child's coloring books, and then laminate them to be made into place mats. Keep the DVD player on with Disney Princess movie playing, but with the sound on mute so everyone can enjoy the images.

Piñata

Consider hanging a Disney Princess piñata, which can double as both a decoration and an activity. The children will enjoy looking at it, but also have fun taking turns trying to get the candy out of the princess.
