Party ThemesOne of Disney's most famous characters is the small fairy known as Tinkerbell. Not only is she a star in "Peter Pan," but she now has her own CG-animated movie entitled "Tinkerbell" that has brought her back into the spotlight. If a little girl wants to celebrate her birthday with a Tinkerbell theme, there are plenty of options and activities to do so.
Fairy Dress Up
Turn every party member into a fairy by having a fairy dress up. Along with dressing up, you can have party members actually create the costumes by gluing the fairy wings to a shaped wire like a coat hanger that has been taken apart. Along with the wings, a lot of glitter make-up should be used to make the fairies "sparkle."
Fairy Ceremony
When all of the girls are dressed up in their fairy costumes, recreate the scene in the "Tinkerbell" movie by assigning each fairy with a name and purpose. Fairy names are easy to come up with and Fantasy Land's website has a full list of options that you can choose from (see Resources).
Fly Like a Fairy
Have party guests come close to fairy flying by taking them to an interactive location or setting something up in your own home. Several states have places that are wall to wall with trampolines. Your whole party will love jumping around and playing fairies on these trampolines. If the party is at home, you can rent a large moon bounce for all of the kids to enjoy.
Fairy Slumber Party
Celebrate the world of Tinkerbell with a movie marathon at a Fairy Slumber Party. The children can watch "Peter Pan," "Return to Neverland," "Tinkerbell," or even "Hook" for a different look at the Tinkerbell character.
Decorations
Add to the party with a collection of Tinkerbell decorations. The mainstream success of the "Tinkerbell" movie has led to an onslaught of decorations that includes plates, napkins, party favors and more that will help complete the party experience.
