Animal prints have always been hot, especially the striking, stark design of the bold black and white zebra. Zebra not only goes with any other color that may be in the décor, but it's a perfect way to perk up a party. A host of zebra print party decorations are available, and folks can go even further and make their own to expand the theme.
Tableware
The tablecloth itself can be a zebra print, or you can opt for an all black or all white cloth and add zebra print touches. Add a bit more flair to the table by picking up some zebra print party favors to be placed by each plate and taken home by the guests. Walls
No zebra themed party would be complete without some fine zebra print gossamer. This thin, decorative cloth is relatively inexpensive, re-usable and available at fabric stores or online (see Resources section). Gossamer is very lightweight, so it can be held in place with masking tape and draped around the party room or even used as a table skirt. Walls can also be adorned with zebra print birthday banners and balloons.
Other
Go all out and purchase large or life-size zebras to enhance the fun even further. No, don't go on a safari and come back with a live one, but trek to the store or sites that sell inflatable zebras. They can be easily blown up and deflated and stored or given as the door prize for a lucky someone to take home. Plush zebra toys are another option, as are zebra hand puppets or large, cardboard cutouts.
Considerations
If going only zebra is making you batty, you can expand the zebra print theme to include an overall jungle or safari look. Just add a few pith helmets, decorative netting and other jungle-related party items to make it work. These, too, are available at party stores or online (see Resources section).
Potential
Since zebra print is so compatible with many décor styles, folks can keep the gossamer and other zebra print items to use around the house on a daily basis. This makes investing in zebra print décor an even wiser choice. Paper cups and plates can be replaced by plastic or glass and used for every occasion, not just for party time.
